Picture this: you move to Kansas City for your new job in March…of 2020. You are only in office for 5 working days before being told everyone is working from home. You and your coworkers make bets on when we’ll come back to the office. We said “see you in a couple weeks” and truly meant it. Oh, those sweet naive fools.

So when my friend Matt asked if I wanted to do a 24 hour film festival with him and our friends after the first round of the vaccine came out, I said yes immediately. I was going stir crazy in my house! I wanted to go make cool stuff with my friends! Not at all realizing that I hadn’t pulled an all nighter since my senior year of college and I am NOT built like that anymore. Was it hard? Yes. Did I sleep for 20 hours after we wrapped? Also yes. Was it the most fun I’ve ever had staying up for 24 full hours? You betcha.
