Coca-Cola Times Square Takeover
I am blown away when I think about my work being in shown in Times Square three separate times. But this one? Yeah. It’s been the coolest so far.
I was on the pitch team that helped secure VML’s win as Coca-Cola’s global AOR, so when they said we’re gonna take over all of Times Square with branded content, I begged to be added to the team. My boss, Carson, had always given me space to explore. He saw me do it with the first VML project I was assigned (Smirnoff Smash), and had the confidence in me to do it again with the area I was assigned to: the type animation that went across all of the boards. To say I was honored is an understatement. While majority of the content was 3D, this was a way I could use my quirky animation style to create a through line in all of the content being produced (which was so, so much work to create across the team). I am endlessly grateful to the Creative Production team for their belief in lil ole me to put my strengths in kinetic typography to use.
